Dave, you know some of this discussion is going on at Dawud Miracle's blog under www.healthywebdesign.com. You have participated yourself.

But here you have focused the discussion deeply on male diequiet, which is a gift.

How many guys keep working a job that does not fulfill them in order to "pay the bills", or to picture the day of retirement?

I for one stayed longer at what I wanted to move on from (still there part time) to support my family, yet thankfully I was also able to find a gem within that work to birth what I feel more deeply called to do.

The practicalities of supporting yourself and ones you are responsible for are real. Yet, as Joseph said here the other day, if you don't uncover and follow your mission, everyone loses out. I like how you said that, Joseph.

And Mark, great comment on the soundbite.

Thanks.

You know I agree with this one, Dave. I think this statement is incredibly powerful: "First to lend credibility to the idea that a midlife crisis is a profound rite of passage, not a TV sitcom joke."

It's actually a profound soundbite- in that it carries a whole story in a simple sentence. If you want free marketing advice, I would write articles and etc from this angle- it's a great doorway.

And, I think, a real healing. Every time the mid-life crisis joke happens, men (and women) everywhere have less validation for very profound feelings they are having... but you know this.

Anyway- I think this can strike a big chord for folks.
