		<description>Oh yeah - now we are talking!  Dawud thanks for adding a new tier.  That was a whole period where the lone superhero emerged.  I don't think I ever heard the word "macho" before that time.  It may have not been a great period of evolution, but it was an important  one nonetheless.</description>

		<description>Great post, Dave. But I was wondering what happened to the 'Macho, Tough Man' of the mid 80's and 90's?

Kurt Russell, Stallone, Arnold, Segal - all the big action heros of that generation. All these guys played multiple roles where there wasn't much emotion - just brute force and action.

And I guess they gave way to the quirky action hero like Mel Gibson in the Lethal Weapon movies.</description>
